Winning Recepie in Affiliate Marketing
A regular question I see posted on Affiliate Forums and newsgroups is “what program should I promote”? I think a rule of thumb for life in general is “follow your heart”. In other words, simply promote the product you are passionate about. That passion will give you the adrenaline rush you need to sit down at your PC for whatever number of hours required and do your research. You will need to:
- Examine your competing sites. Their structure, content and functionality.
- Research prices from your potential merchants. Is merchant A more expensive that B? Does A provide more added value than B to justify the cost?
- Examine the merchants site. Is it likely to convert or is it too complicated for basic users to use?
- Does the merchant provide you with the necessary tools for you to use in marketing?
- Will you be able to write content for your site? ex. Travel Articles, PC reviews etc.
- Question your own sites usability.
This is just a starter list, but one of great importance and which can take considerable time. Having a passion on your subject will help ease the pain
